2010 – retrospective of PPW

The Stats of WordPress.com help me to write about how this blog did in 2010. Was a good year, with ups and downs involved. The numbers of views was 18.886 (almost double – the previous year the number of views was 10.108). Of course, such a rating may seem like a joke compared to the tabloid sisters. Honestly, I have no big worries in this regard. Quality  of my readers is more important for me than their number. Representatives of the European Parliament, various ministers of EU countries and not just EU or non-governmental organizations, leading universities and major financial groups have honored this site with their virtual presence.  I say thank . I enjoy it.  And at the same time I know that it requires much more professionalism from me.

In 2010, there were 64 new posts, growing the total archive of this blog to 241 posts. Also were 348 comments (unfortunately, too little  – around half – focused strictly on issues) .

The busiest day of the year was March 23-th with 673 views.  The most popular post that day was Requiem for journalist Mile Carpenisan. A sad record can to say. Just as in 2009 when the first place was won by another sad event – the death of Patriarch of the Russian Church. Nothing sells better than death. Sad, cynical and real.

The top referring sites in 2010 were in order: google.com, globalvoicesonline.org, yandex.ru, bloggingportal.eu, rambler.ru, facebook. Also, PPW page on FB won first 100 fans sympathy. Concluding: sociological, above this level forward the things begin to take shape. So, let’s work !! 🙂
