The 23rd Planetary Congress of the Association of Space Explorers (ASE)

Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur, hosted during October 5 to 11 – 2010, the meetings of the 23rd Planetary Congress of the  Association of Space Explorers (ASE). The agenda of the Congress held under the theme “One planet,  one hope and one future” have been debates and roundtables aimed on the problems and challenges of XXI century space exploration and the need a unified vision for global cooperation to benefit the whole planet.

Also, in the Congress agenda held up the establishing of the European Regional Committee of the Association of Space Explorers – ASE Europe and were established the priorities projects that will be undertaken in the future. The main purpose of the projects will be to promote research and education on space domain at European level and promote Europe as a important entity in international space environment. Chairman of the ASE – Europe (for the next three years) was appointed by unanimous vote, Romanian cosmonaut, Dr. Dumitru-Dorin Prunariu. Noticed that Prunariu is also the Chairman of UN – COPUOS.
